If you initiate any chargeback request or other "Request for Information" or similar process, you expressly agree and consent to us to share any and all information in relation to your agreement of these terms and conditions, in order to defeat any such chargeback request.
If you have already initiated a chargeback request with your credit card issuer, you must not request a refund of funds by contacting us and must not seek double recovery.
If we reasonably determine, having considered all the relevant circumstances, that you have made an excessive or unreasonable number of requests to refund funds back to you or chargebacks, we may suspend, limit or close your Account.
On Freelancer-Projects, we wish to see every order succeed. Services offered on Freelancer-Projects will vary based on each seller. We encourage users to utilize our rating system, our community, and common sense in choosing appropriate Projects. We also encourage our buyers and sellers to try and settle conflicts amongst themselves. If for any reason this fails, users can contact the Customer Support for further assistance.
Note: If an order is cancelled, sellers are not rewarded the funds from the order.

When can I cancel an order?
Cancellations performed by Customer Support can be done, when eligible, within a time period of 13 days after an order is marked as Complete. 13 days is the period of time revenue is placed on hold prior to clearing to the seller on the 14th day. Once available, funds from the order may be withdrawn by the seller.
Contacting Customer Support weeks to months after an order is marked as Complete will not result in an order cancellation, especially if those funds have been successfully withdrawn by the seller. Buyers are expected to raise their concerns in a timely matter or report any suspicious behaviors shown by sellers (such as marking the order as delivered without receiving the final service).
Sellers contacting Customer Support to cancel an order must have funds available to them to consider the cancellation of an order. If there are any issues with your buyer or seller after the designated time period mentioned above, Freelancer-Projects will review both parties for any violations to our Terms of Service to consider canceling the order.
Sellers can offer a Mutual Cancellation after an order is marked as complete up to 13 days after that time period (during the revenue funds clearance time). After those funds have cleared successfully, the Seller is entitled to withdraw those funds and will not be able to cancel the order mutually after the funds are made available to them. This is to give the Buyer and Seller enough time to insure the Buyer's satisfaction for the order.
What if I have an issue with my seller or delivered service?
Buyers may contact Customer Support at any time to review your order for advice on how to proceed with their orders. Our Customer Support team will take many factors into consideration, such as the seller's ratings, responsiveness, and past order history to assess the most appropriate action to take. In most cases, buyers are directed to communicate further with their sellers if there's no justifiable reason to cancel the order.
Order cancellations, similar to Requesting Revisions for your delivered order, will not be done based on personal taste. Buyers are given the option to rate their experience with the seller and share their experience in a feedback review.
Avoid filing a dispute with your payment provider for your orders, as this is not in compliance with our Terms of Service, which may also result in restricting your account until those payment holds are cleared.
What are valid reasons to cancel my order?
In most cases, Customer Support will advise buyers to further communicate with their sellers with specific comments and pointers on how the seller can help the buyer resolve their issues. However, there are clear indications where canceling the order is required. Indications that an order may be cancelled by Customer Support may include the following (but not limited to):
Active Orders (after the buyer submits their requirements and before the seller delivers on Freelancer-Projects)
Delivered Orders (after the seller clicks Deliver Now and before the order is marked as complete)
Completed Orders (after the order is marked as complete and before the 13 day limitation)
Each case is reviewed carefully by our Customer Support team in order to assess the most appropriate action. Additionally, we can cancel orders that were made by mistake but will always check if the order is tied to an ongoing service to protect our sellers.
What happens after an order is cancelled?
If an order is cancelled (for any reason), the funds paid will be refunded to the buyer’s shopping balance. If your Project was purchased with cleared revenue, the funds will return to your revenue balance. Your total account balance (revenue + shopping) can be found next to your username on the top menu in the right corner.
Additionally, when an order is cancelled, buyers no longer retain the rights to use any of the services or the items delivered to them. All transfer and assignment of intellectual property to the buyer shall be subject to full payment for the Project and the delivery may not be used if payment is cancelled for any reason.
What happens if a dispute is opened and now the order is cancelled?
If a chargeback was made on a purchase or is subject to review by a payment vendor - Freelancer-Projects will cancel the order automatically. Whenever a transaction is being reviewed by a payment vendor, we may be required to cancel a transaction completely or put it on hold for your own protection (for example - stolen credit card, other fraud activities, etc.). This is part of the service we provide to maintain a safe environment for our users.
Feedback reviews provided by buyers while completing an order are an essential part of Freelancer-Projects rating system. Reviews demonstrate the buyer's overall experience with the seller and their service. Buyers are encouraged to communicate to the seller any concerns experienced during their active order in regards to the service provided by the seller. Customer Support will remove feedback that is assessed as a violation of our Terms of Service. Repeated requests for any and all undesired feedback will not be removed.

My buyer gave me less than desirable feedback.
Leaving a buyer's feedback is a basic prerogative of a buyer. This means that a buyer has the right to share their experience. In a well executed order, where a buyer provides you what you need to complete your described service, feedback for your service is up to level of service provided to the buyer. If you are rated lower than their expectations, sellers are accountable for their ratings and are responsible for their own customer service. In this case, personal taste related to the service/deliverables is acceptable. Customer Support will recognize disingenuous reviews if the feedback becomes abusive.
Sellers are encouraged to contact their buyers regarding the feedback received. However sellers may not abuse, retaliate, or spam buyers in to removing feedback. If this activity is reported, it may result in a warning or suspension of your account. Freelancer-Projects does not tolerate bullying or manipulation of our rating system.
My feedback was removed.
We strongly encourage all buyers to take in consideration the effort every seller makes to deliver their order. To protect our sellers from any misuse of the Freelancer-Projects rating system and common marketplace etiquette, any issues that you may of encountered during an order and immediately after the order is marked as complete must be resolved with the seller first. Freelancer-Projects enables buyers and sellers to use self-service tools (Request Revisions, Mutual Cancellation, Resolution Center) to resolve any issue encountered in an order. Can I test the review system by purchasing from my own account?
No. This is considered a fraudulent activity that misrepresents your services and manipulates our marketplace. Any user determined to artificially enhance seller ratings, or to abuse the Freelancer-Projects platform with purchases from additional accounts, will result in a permanent suspension of all related accounts.
Can I mention in my Project that I only accept 5 star ratings?
No. Terms that circumvent Freelancer-Projects feedback guidelines and Terms of Service will not be enforced. If determined to be detrimental or abusive to our marketplace, your service may be denied or requested to be modified.
Why can't Customer Support remove my buyer's feedback?
Services offered on Freelancer-Projects are performed by sellers. Freelancer-Projects is not responsible for the quality level of services offered by sellers or act directly as support agents for a sellers service. Sellers are expected to offer their own forms of customer support within the guidelines of our Terms of Service. Freelancer-Projects Customer Support acts as an administrative third party between buyers and sellers and can provide guidance and assistance if needed.
Customer Support reviews each case thoroughly before taking any action against a review. Requests to remove feedback, unless in clear violation of our Terms of Service, can only be requested up to 45 days after an order is marked as complete. If determined that a feedback review is not eligible to be removed, sellers will be notified of the specific reason why. Repeated requests for feedback to be removed after being notified will not be granted, and if it becomes abusive, will result in an account warning or in extreme cases, suspension from Freelancer-Projects. Customer Support does not extend "favors" out of fairness to other community members and marketplace.
Please keep in mind that Customer Support requires at minimum a reason why the feedback is requested to be removed. Simply stating "Please remove this feedback" will not be addressed without clarifications from Customer Support.
