How do I cancel my Order?

Orders can be cancelled by either a buyer, seller, or through Customer Support. We encourage our buyers and sellers to try and settle conflicts amongst themselves and utilize the tools available to them. This article will cover how you can cancel an order.

Before starting, please see this article on our policy towards Order Cancellations

Ordered by Mistake

To cancel an order placed by mistake:

  1. Once in the order page, click Resolution Center.
  2. Locate the option to cancel your order within the Resolution Center, "If you ordered this Project by mistake, please click here to cancel your order."

Note: This applies only for buyers before the buyer submits their requirements (if any).

Mutual Cancellations

To mutually cancel an order:

  1. Once in the order page, click Resolution Center.
  2. From the drop-down list, pick a cancellation reason.
  3. Fill out a message to your buyer then click Request Cancellation.

To accept a Mutual Cancellation Request:

  • Once in the order page, click I Agree to Cancel.

To withdraw your Mutual Cancellation Request:

  • Once in the order page, click Abort Cancellation.

Once the Mutual Cancellation Request is sent, your buyer or seller will have 48 hours to accept the cancellation request. If your request is unanswered after 48 hours, the order will be cancelled automatically.

Notes:

  • Unanswered cancellations will affect the seller's cancellation rate. If the buyer accepts a seller's cancellation request, their cancellation rate will not be affected.
  • Sellers may cancel an order after the order is marked as complete before the revenue clears from the order (up to 13 days).

Very Late Order Cancellations

To cancel an order marked Very Late (as a Buyer):

  • Once in the order page, click Cancel Order.
